Lynne's Falling Stars: I’ve had in the house for over a year. It sits on a North-East windowsill and is growing in a 17cm diameter pot which I think suits this variety.

Falling stars

I bought two one for myself and one for my friends Mother’s 100th birthday. The abundant blue flowers of this plant will not only delight the birthday girl they hopefully gladden the hearts of her carers and provide a wonderful talking point for her family and friends when they visit.
Thankyou Dibleys x’s

Falling Stars

If I remember correctly I first bought Falling Stars more than 30 years ago (Possibly at the Gateshead Garden Festival) It remains my favourite streptocarpus with its mass of simple blue flowers , Gloriia is also a great plant but the wishy-washy pink isnt as good as Falling Stars blue
One had heard so much about Harlequin Blue that I thought I'd try it this time as well.
It's a good plant and growing well, I find the bicolour flowers a bit fussy and I'd prefer them to open flat. Maybe it's a matter of taste, but I doubt I'll be buying thar one again in 30 years time - I'd be 118 yrs old then so it's very unlikely.
As a bicolour I really like Manon, not perhaps as floriferous as Harlequin Blue but the individual flowers are great. Hope and Rose Halo are also real stars. Lemon Sherbet a little disappointing so far but perhaps it will improve. These four were your selection for this year - really good mix
I was very sorry to hear of Rex Dibley's death - I never met him but but his streptocarpus have given much pleasure over the years
