Places to visit near Dibleys Nurseries

Our award-winning nursery and houseplant shop is tucked away up little country lanes in beautiful countryside, just on the edge of an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in North Wales.  The view above is across our woodland and down the Vale of Clwyd.   We are currently open Monday to Fridays.

Below you'll find just some places to visit and to stay whilst visiting our houseplant nursery.   Scroll down to the bottom for a map of locations.

Llanbenwch Cafe

We highly recommend this cafe! It's only a 7 minute drive from the nursery. They serve fresh coffee and hot drinks throughout the day.  If you’re hungry they also serve breakfast, lunches, snacks and cakes.

Llanbenwch also has a caravan and camping site.

Just up the lane from our nursery is:

Cae Main Shepherd's Hut

Our local town (7 miles from the nursery) is Ruthin (or Rhuthun).

In the heart of the town, near the medieaval castle (now a hotel), there's a restored grade I listed house, Nantclwyd y Dre.

Nantclwyd y Dre offers a unique exploration of over 500 years of history, from medieval up to the 20th century. Step through the seven ages of this beautifully restored Grade I listed house as it reveals the lives of its residents:

An unusual visitor attraction is Ruthin Gaol. Ruthin gaol is the only purpose-built Pentonville style prison open to the public as a heritage attraction. People can spend time exploring its nooks and crannies and learn about life in the Victorian prison system.

At the Ruthin Craft Centre you'll find a purpose built centre with three galleries, six artist studios, retail gallery, education and residency workshops and tourist information .

Moel Famau is part of the world-famous Offa's Dyke.  You can follow Offa’s Dyke National Trail through the Clwydian Range and Dee Valley, taking in arguably some of the best sights you’ll see on the world-famous pathway that runs almost coast to coast from north to south.  Here it passes within a few miles of our nursery.

Llandegla Fishery offers both coarse and fly fishing in four pools from 8am till dusk every day. Also on site is a modern cafe. Accommodation is available on site.

Llangollen & Corwen Railway
Llangollen Railway is a Heritage Railway Line running between Llangollen, following the River Dee through the beautiful Dee Valley for 10 miles, to Corwen.   We recommend parking in Corwen (which has a large car park) and visiting Llangollen by rail.  Corwen is closer to our nursery (although through some narrow lanes!)

While you're in Corwen, you might like to visit this emporium with over 30 dealers. We've bought items for  our gold medal winning displays from here!
